Is Bishop Prophet H. Walker's protest against Eddie Long called for?

Bishop Prophet H. Walker of the True Light Pentecostal Church in Spartanburg, SC plans to march to Atlanta to demand that Eddie Long resign. Bishop Eddie Long of  the New Birth Missionary Baptist Church is accused of sexual coercion of four young men from his congregation. It comes as shock to many because Long has protested against the homosexuals. Needless to say some hilarious comedy has been presented at the church about the topic by comedian Trina Jeffrie AKA Sis Cantaloupe who has done several jokes at his church such as "if you are gay and born that way, then be born again," She also said that a women on the talk show said her friend is coming out the closet,  Sis Cantaloupe says she needs to beat him back in there until he comes out right" but it seems to be no laughing matter when it is potentially the pastor. He has not came out of the closet, but the beans seems to spill with several cases coming forth.
 Has Eddie Long been deceiving his congregation and followers? He did not tell them that he was homosexual and have not echoed on it.   Should Eddie Long resign from his position as pastor of the New Birth Missionary Baptist Church? Bishop H. Walker thinks so, and many from the Christian community believe that he should. Should H. Walker march to Atlanta to protest? Is he taking a stand for what is right at any cause or any cost? Daniel took a stand for God in the lions den, and  Shadrach, Meshach, and Abenego took a stand  in the fiery furnace. God brought them out there situations for standing up for him and worshipping him and God was there with each of them. Daniel was not eaten by the lions in the den. Shadrach, Meshach and Obenego, was not harmed in the fiery furnace because God was there with, and gave them that assurance. If Walker is doing it for the Lord he shouldn't he be fine because it is a great cause and the Lord is with him. On the other hand some people believe Walker's motive for the protest is  money or fame which is a an extreme cost for publicity.  Should Walker protest because Eddie Long is giving the wrong interpretation for Christian standards, and doing so in hypocrisy and participating abominable acts? Bishop H. Walker also claims the title prophet.  Is there is something good to be produce out of doing the protest? Prophets sometimes are able to see things pertaining to the future because of their keen gifting from the Lord. What do you all think? Should Bishop H. Walker protest?

Playing Musical tunes into the Subconscious Mind

Many many musicians are paid continuously to develop jingles and tunes for the popular advertisements  and commercials that you see on an everyday basis on tv, internet, radio, and the list goes on. With these jingles, chords and songs whether good or bad, they are tapping into the emotions of many people. These repetitious phrases and things will cause you to embed the songs into your spirit emotion, thus later producing the effect through actions. For instance, some of the actions could include buying more than what your budget can hold, going to the store and shopping for things that you did not have in mind, and sometimes it is the action of behaving out of character.  As Christian we are to display lives that are positive and pleasing to the Lord Jesus Christ, and sensitive to his voice by praying, being alert, and guarding our eye gates and ear gates according the holy word of God. Be careful to not be grasped as a victim of the tactics planted by the enemy through jingles tunes.

Looping in Musical Recording

Loops are usually a shorten section of up to four musical bars that you would repeat throughout a song. The looping in sequencing means something a little different than the way loop is used in conjunction with the musical recording term "Sampling". In all cases it means playing the same material over and over again. In sampling, you loop a portion of the waveform, so you can make a sound hold while a key is depressed. In "Production" you use a Loop as a pre-recorded snippet of sound that loops over and over, usually a specified amount time. Sequencer looping is closer to the latter and is actually related through MIDI  because you are repeating the information, not merely the same sound over and over.

Rulers in Musical Recording

Most audio recording software includes some type of ruler. A ruler is a scale used for measuring the time either in seconds, beats, or some other scale.  In MIDI it is usually named "Bars/Beats" you will usually see "inch" marks for the bars (beat 1 of each measure) and fraction marks for beats. Almost always there will be counter, usually on the Transport that shows your exact position such where the cursor is in whichever time scale you have selected. While the ruler may only show you bars and beats depending on how far you have zoomed in, a  counter will typically show you down to the tick level. In Cubase, when the ruler is set to bars + beats, the counter shows the location as bar:beat:sixteenth:tick. A value of 02:02:01:60 signifies the cursor is in measure 2, beat 2, first 16th, 60 ticks in which for you music types is the 43rd , 32nd note into the piece. The number of beats and sixteenths will of course change with the meter, but the parts per quarter note will remain the same.

Metronome in Musical Recording

Most MIDI Sequencers give you some method of playing to Tempo by using a Metronome or Click Track, which are both something that produce a steady sound (beep or click) to play against. Long ago, you had to use a physical Track on which a click sound would be at first created, then later just progressed into the events of what is now called "Click Track". Now these are virtual in that they do not even actually take up track space on the sequence. Most of the time the Click are the same as whatever the beat is such 120 BPM, you will hear 120 clicks per minute or 1 every 500ms, etc. Modern devices may allow you to use a different scale for your Click. For example,  you might want to hear 8th notes being clicked if the tempo is slow. The click track typically uses one of your MIDI Channels to produce sound.  Traditionally, drum/percussion sounds are put on channel 10, and the click is set to that channel as well. You can set it to any channel you want, but for consistency it is best to use channel 10. You are  usually offered the option of having a count-off wherein the clicks for a number of measures are usually 2 before recording begins. Additionally, you may the option of hearing the click either only while recording, only during playback, both or neither(off). Knowing where the beat location is important in MIDI because of quantization. Quantization will be dicussed in another upcoming post.

Musical Tempo and Meters

MIDI devices are primarily used by musicians to make music, time is basically expressed in terms of Beat Per Minute (BPM). The speed of the beats are called Tempo. A tempo of 60 bpm signifies that there are 60 beats per minute. That is because of there are the same number of seconds,  which means one beat per second.  You may calculate other time relationships, such as 120 bpm which is 2 beats per second, or 1 beat per half second. There is the concept of doubling and dividing/halfing the numbers.

Meters also group beats into units called "Measures", and the number of "Beats per Measure"(NOT BPM). The measures are in meters which represents in music by a Meter Signature or Time Signature. These are written in a fraction format. Here is an example, 4/4 which is a meter of 4 beats per measure.  The top number represent the beats and bottom represents the measures. 4/4 Meter means there are 4 beats in a measure, and 1/4 quarter note gets one beat. This means if the Tempo is 120 BPM, each quarter note which is a beat is a half-second long, there will be two per second, and a measure of 4 quarters will last 2 seconds.

There is a relationship between beat, bpm, and minutes, so with a little math, any tempo can be calculated. In beats though, using fractions smaller than 16th notes gets a little cumbersome, musicians do not use them that much at all. So instead, most devices use something called"tick" or clock value. Ticks are measured in parts per quarter notes (ppqn). For example, a ppqn of 480 means there are 480 units parts per quarter note and 120 per 16th note.  Notice that 480 can be divided by 60. This means more whole numbers will flow, and it will be able to come out in seconds, when an even will happen in musical time.

MIDI channel, Multi-timbrals, Tracks, and Parts

MIDI uses 16 Channels on which to transmit/receive information. There are also discrete pathways just like a track and a mixer Channel, but a MIDI Channel and a Mixer Channel are not the same. Track 1 always goes with Mixer Channel 1. You can assign the data being recorded, or the data being played back on Track 1 to come in/go out MIDI Channel 1, but it could use any MIDI Channel. For instance, if you are do not know how to play piano that well,  you might record the RH part on Track 1, and the LH part on Track 2. Still you could assign both of them to MIDI Channel 7, if you would like, and of course your MIDI instrument would be set to play a piano sound on Channel 7.
Devices that can receive information from multiple Channels are called Multi-Timbral and can play up to 16 sounds, stored in 16 locations called "Parts" that are in a 1:1 relationship. Therefore, in a MIDI Sequencer, MIDI Instrument, each Part has a MIDI Channel that stays with it, however any sound may be put on any Part.

News about abominable lifestyle of Pastor Jim Swilley

Pastor Swilley confessed in service at his church to his congregation that he is homosexual. He reverted back to being abused at four years old. He says he wanrs to continue pastoring, but is forced by the governing denominational church body to step down from the bishop position. He expressed the situation about Eddie Long made him want to come out publicly. His wife was aware of the orientation during the 21 years of marriage, and thought it would eventually work out. At the service of confession,  she appeared in the service as a Gothic person even in attire. Swilley and his wife appeared very angry, and his wife came up and to speak on the situation and cursed used other profanity freely during the service.  Swilley needs help, so remember to pray for him because he still continues on with the church, but he has unbelief of God's deliverance power and to continue on leading people with limits on God's power. After 39 years of preaching he says he decided to gather another perception differently to the stories in the bible that he acknowledges to preaching many times before. He says he do not want to hear about Leviticus and other books to contradict his lifestyle.  He also portrays the story in Genesis about Lot's wife saying that is about gang rape. His assertions and new found doctrines to story correlate to the abuse that he received as a child leading to the current situation. He is the pastor, but needs to step down and receive help, now that he is opened up his situation. Pray for his eyes to be open to the truth. He is currently deceived.

Crepitus popping joints

Crepitus is the crackling effect of the joints when air bubbling passes in the joints. This is the sign that has sometimes of friction due to wear, tear, overuse and extended use of the joints. Many people feel that it can be avoided if taught proper technique of activities such as playing piano, guitar and typing etc. Many people develop crepitus, but the main thing is to not make it a habit of cracking the joints for an activity. The crepitus occurrence can show up in the wrist and elbows, knees, toes and several other places. In some cases in very imperative not to continuously pop or crack the joint, to prevent excessive damage or wear and tear. It is not a double joint. Some people see will notice the long term effects as they age because of the deterioration that occurs. Sometimes the effect can produces pain. The carpal tunnel is the associated condition with inflammation, numbness, swelling, of the wrist joints from the median. Some people get surgery, but the crepitus is curable with proper diet, rest and praying. God Bless and good health!!!

Vibrato in Singing and Instruments

Vibrato is bend or fluctuation between pitches. This tactic is used in singing. It is also called tremolo.  It is similar to the sound of Hammond organ when paired with a Leslie speaker. The Leslie gives the sound the vibrato like whirling effect. Vibrato is an tactic that singers practice which is a very beneficial sound. To establish vibrato you will need to practice before you are able to achieve pure vibrato. It is imperative to practice. Some vibratos are not authentic. Vibrato builds over time.  Real vibrato is gradually and comes  after the notes has been held or sustained for a period of time. Vibrato is similar to the keyboard component called the pitch bend. The pitch bends the pitch up or down. On some keyboards you hold down the keys organ and the vibrato builds. The vibrato is rather slow in the beginning, then it speeds up and becomes faster after notes are held for a while. This very is a similar effect and comparison of the vocal vibrato which is achieved at the heart of holding a note.

WOW Juanita Bynum Adds Male Suffix "II" to her name "Juanita BynumII?

Juanita Bynum is considered a evangelist, prophetess who has been very controversial. She appeared sincere in the beginning of her ministry, but when she starting seeking fame and fortune more than the preaching uncompromising  gospel of Jesus Christ, her life took a turn in host of downhill misfits . Juanita Bynum married Bishop Thomas Weeks. The couple enjoyed a luxurious wedding costing over millions of dollars,  but less than five years later they divorced. Thomas Weeks is a pastor of a large church. Juanita and Thomas were both poor representations of the gospel and assumed the role of hypocrites displayed through character and several YouTube videos. Juanita Bynum has a video about getting ready to throw a brick at someone, and saying that she is like a bulldog amongst others things, and Weeks has videos as well twisting the scripture, and he also did a court show which was very fleshly and worldly and filled with profane languae and obscenity. According to the admission of both Bynum and Weeks, they were in the relationship for purposes of take advantage of each other. Juanita Bynum wanted to promote her media, dvds, cds and books, and wanted marketing tactics to boost sales. Weeks wanted the popularity of having the celebrity wife amongst other things.  Juanita Bynum speaks in a video of having to defend Weeks by attempting to throw a brick which is very much poor character for a someone who is supposed to be disciplened in the things of God.  She is actually much more aggressive than Thomas Weeks, but suprisingly she divorced her him for alleged domestic abuse. She actually could have probably beat him. The domestic assault was possibly a stunt. According to her ex husband Thomas Weeks she was trying  to get on the Oprah show at any cost, which up to the present time has failed. Juanita Bynum started her own movement in a warehouse about 2 years ago, as she does not want it to be identified as a church. She has made a lot of changes contrary to what she said previously even through old tapes. She previously spoke firmly and held standards that Christians and embraced holy living. In early famed ministry she spoke of that Christians are not supposed to sing and listen to worldly that glorifies the flesh. She said that many worship leaders mimick artist that she called out  Mary J. Blidge and Snoop Dogg. Now years later, Juanita Bynum appeared with Angie Stone and many others that are secular sinners. She actually now freely has fellowship with unfruitful worker of darkerness. This is a clear contradiction.

In the video entitled "Renewed Covenent" Juanita Bynum bowed down to Td Jakes as if he was God, and he said her sins has been forgiven.  He anointed her ahead, and she has been down hill ever since. It is very important to be careful who lays hand on you. It is spiritual germs.  TD Jakes is actually involved a lot of filth. He has false doctrines incorporate into his messages.  Td Jakes  also denies Jesus as being the only way. He  passes the opportunity to stand up for truth, but a true Christian would have stood up and proclaimed on Larry King show that Jesus is the only way. John 14 gives us clear reference that Jesus is the only way. Td Jakes assumes the role of being the famous preacher, yet he denies Jesus in front of men. Jesus said if you would be ashamed of him before men, he will be ashamed you before his father in heaven. TD Jakes has all type of filthiness at the Megafest and other shows. He sold tickets for the megafest to introduce Steve Harvey to entertain. He also invites secular artist to give concerts because this is not ministry. Sinners cannot lead people to Jesus Christ if they do not know. TD Jakes also has videos singing "Getting hot in here" which is a secular song pertained to sex, and having sex in many positions and places.  He was assumed to be one of Juanita Bynum spiritual fathers. She is now doing the "No More Sheets" conference under his permission.

Juanita Bynum had an old friend Tashania Blackwell who was with her in earlier beginnings at Td Jakes conferences, now she is not with her at all. Juanita Bynum did a TBN Mother's Day in 07 special and invited guests her Mother-n-Law " Dr. Leona Brown"on the show, and there was a lot of displayed tension conveyed between there relationship, and they were putting on versad relationship. It was not real and very tensed with all the evil stares from her mother-n-law. Anybody could see through unauthencity of  it, even without a microscope.  Thomas Weeks's mother said she wanted to be the person for Juanita to confide in because she did not want Juanita disclosing things about her son. Three months later an event was publicized that Thomas Weeks was accused of beating Juanita Bynum.  Thomas Weeks was convicted domestic assault. Juanita went through a divorce from him. They both have been married before.  In actuality they both were misrepresentations of the gospel.  Juanita  often now makes mockery of the old churches similar to the ones that she used to preach  with Mother Boyd and Mother Dupree. Juanita Bynum has now become affliated with new age doctrines introduced her new teachings. Juanita Bynum has one subscription on her YouTube page, and that is Oprah as her only subscription. Juanita bynum keeps her hand in a pyramid shape and secret hand signals while talking. She is in a sorority. Juanita Bynum embraces secret organizations fraternities and sororities. She also assumes the role introducing kids to these practices with her academy program. The word of God talks about not passing our children through the fire. Juanita Bynum is very controversial. Juanita Bynum looks rather wild with the long wig that she is wearing which actually looks appears wild, dry, bushy and very ridiculous.  Juanita Bynum wore her wedding dress on her 50th birthday, and declares herself to be Juanita Bynum II holding a sword. She was doing an initiation for her secret organization. Juanita Bynum declares to be Juanita Bynum II, which is actually the title for a man.  There is no way around it.  She gathers up an irrational excuse to defend the reason why she now names herself the Juanita Bynum II.   Juanita Bynum's mother said that the minute she finds out that Juanita Bynum has changed,  she is leaving and not following her. I would think that Juanita Bynum's mother "Mother Katherine Bynum" would have spiritual discernment to know that her daughter sadly is not right anymore, but it is either the money or something else because she still continues to follow her.  Thomas Weeks said that Mother Bynum was getting dementia, and I do not know how the statement is. Thomas Weeks wears the bow tie and is controversial as well.  Thomas Weeks married another lady who is a so called prophet, and they are tapes of her on YouTube asking people for information about themselves that she should know claiming the title prophetess. The new wife claims to have known nothing about Juanita previously which is not likely.  I love Juanita Bynum, but these issues must be addressed because she is very controversial and it stands in the way of sinners. Shamefully, telelevangelists and singers are the people that world looks to hope,  many of them start out preaching no valid, no comprimising solid truth, then later on they start twisting the message and deceiving the masses because the numbers that flock to their name.  I pray that Juanita denouces the new age doctrines and things that she has embraced.

Kim Burrell Gospel to Secular Music, and from Assistant to Senior Pastor?

Kim Burrell who is known to be a gospel singer distinguished for her melismas, and scats.   Burrell recently went secular according to her own admission and several YouTube videos, in particular the interview on YouTube with Krishnar Lewis which Kim Burrell stated "It takes a person like Krishnar Lewis to come into your life and give it meaning". Kim Burrell also performed for Whitney Houston appearing in rather seductively she braced secular musical selection entitled "I believe in you and Me". Burrell also performed with Alicia Keys who is  a 5 percenter, not a Christian. Kim Burrell performed Alicia Key's secular song, but rendered a change to the song and that was not ministering, but rather taking songs off Baal's alter and trying to offer to God which is a point of deceit. What fellowship has light and darkness. Christian are in the world, but are to not be of the world. The devil is actually conning and tries to make thing look good. Everything and door that opens  is not from God, so be careful.  Later on the same year, Kim Burell also started her own church to become pastor, previously she was the assistant pastor at Jericho City Church of God in Christ where gospel singer Bettye Nelson's son Brian Nelson is pastor. I do pray for Kim Burrell, as she has done a little of the opposite of what she said would never do because on YouTube she said that she was a church girl and would never sing the secular according her interview on Carmen on the Trinity Broadcasting Network. Also she makes short references to it in a video interview with Donnie McClurkin speaking of no compromising. Kim Burrells changed her mind. The love of money and fame often changes their minds. The love of money is the root of all evil.

When to use Melismas?

Singers often use too many melisma in their songs. Mainly melisma should be sung a stressed point. It gives the soulful sound to the song. Often times, singers mimic other idolized singers which is a very amateur thing to do. Instead of being a replica of another person's voice, mimic the sound of piano, flute etc. or certain instrument. There are many musicians and singers who get caught up with wanting to sound like another person. Be an original, and it will stand out. When you sing, develop the song and gradually build. Exemplify strong pureness in your tones. Utilize songs that minister and touches the heart. The melody is an important component of a song, and if people leave a concert program with no melody, they have forgotten the song. That is why is important to keep your songs pure and simple. If you keep it pure and develop occasional melismas, you will grow, and it is more natural. Often times singer get caught up with overdoing it. Focus on the melismas at stressed points. The key thing is if the model of pureness and connection is conveyed, you will not have to feel for the melisma, because it will flow in the song. Professional singers, music coaches and teachers, know when singers have a planned moment of thinking to do a melisma because it usually does not come out as naturally, and the flow is not connected.  Although it is alright to do melismas consistently in practice to develop, know when to use them for balance.

Do Christians celebrate Halloween?

Do Christians celebrate Halloween? No, Halloween is the most holy day for satanic worship. As Ephesian 5:11 makes clear that we as Christians are not to have fellowship with unfruitful works of darkness. We are to be salt and light according Matthews 5:13. We as Christians worship Jesus Christ. Halloween is contrary to the holy scripture. Halloween represents darkness, haunted, horror, witches. God has not given us the spirit of fear. The Lord has brought out of darkness into his marvellous light. Christians follow Christ by walking in the light, not following darkness. We cannot mix the light with darkness. A double minded person is unstable in all his ways according to James 1:8.  We are not to participate with darkness. The bible says we are to overcome it. In Ephesians 6:12 says we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against rulers of darkness. The deceiver satan comes as angel of light saying that it is fine to pass out candy on Halloween, which is participation in the satanic festival "Halloween." Our belief is to not participate in any of the practices including alternatives to it. So what do we offer harvest night giving candy at our church for Halloween? No, we do not give out candy on Halloween to our church as an alternative or anything identified with participation. Halloween is no joking matter.  No trick or treat.  It is not worth dressing up as characters to scare individuals, or going to neighborhoods asking for candy from strangers, and others, then carrying the "trick or treats" to hospital or check and inspect for razor blades, poison etc,  before eating it. Studies have shown that Halloween has the highest death rate than any other holiday. Do not be deceived into participating in Halloween. The enemy is conning, and he comes as angel of light, saying give candy to the children, so do not be deceived. The motive of halloween is pagan and not of God. Know the truth because it shall make you free. Although you know people who participate, still take a stand for what is right. Do not embrace the satanic Halloween day, putting jackolaterns up to make them into scary ghosts scaring little kids.  Do not visit haunted houses to invite and plant spirits of "fear" into your heart which are not of God.   Put on the whole armor of God that you will be to stand against the enemy has declared in Ephesian 6:11.  Halloween has been adequately described.

Relocating to a different area and finding a new church

When moving to a new area, not only do we consider our new neighborhood, new job, but our new place of worship. The bible lets to not forsake to ensemble ourselves together. The bible says how can we hear with out a preacher. It also says that we draw strength from other believers. All encompasses the fact of corporately going to the house of God to worship and give thanks to him. Growing in Christ and developing your spiritual walk with God is a key priority. The word of God says he places members in the body as it pleases him. We do not choose our church he does. Let us pray for his direction, instead of our own. Proverbs 3:5 says, "Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not to your own understanding in all your ways acknowledge him,  and he will direct your path." As followers of Christ we aim to please the Lord by surrounding our lives to him, and embracing his perfect will for our lives.
Many people wonder around from church to church year after year, and to follow his word closely. He does not want us squandering.  God wants us to be stable and not in the winds of the world. We as disciples of Christ are in the world, but not of the world.  It is important to not go looking for the crowd, but where Jesus is. If God lead you to the new church, and they do not have five members, you should witness and share the gospel and recruit more people, in your neighborhood a different places. Encourage them, witness to them, and share your testimony to bring them into a relationship with Christ first and foremost, then if they have no church, invite them to attend your church. The new church may not any music or the music that they have might be the best music. It could even be a kid who is just learning how to play, and if the holy spirit has lead you there, praise God. If  the Lords lays it on your heart to pay for the kid music lessons, then do it, do not reconsider or try to think over. I would advise you to not leave the church to go join a rocknroll band church. Rock-n-roll means to fornicate. The holy bible says in Romans 12 to present your bodies a living sacrifice holy and acceptable unto the Lord God.  It is so detrimental to know what you are embracing because music and things can often attach spirit. Many people just embrace things because they think everybody listens to it or everybody is doing it.  Many times people embrace things that are contrary to the things of God.   The bottom line is to not give God ultimatum because of what you want. We are to deny our fleshly desires and take up the cross and follow Christ. I am crucified with Christ nevertheless I live no longer I, but Christ lives in me.  He desires to work on character, every place and corner of our lives and conforms it to please him as we are submit totally and completely to his will. In finding a new church it is imperative to be somewhere there preaches against and drawing in closer relationship with him. There are celebrity churches, but do not follow the world. The narrow is the gate. The broad road or the mainstream is destruction.  Blessed are they that hunger and thirst after righteousness for they shall be filled. There are many preachers that are preaching prosperity doctrine. Money is not evil, but the love of it is. These preachers that teach this doctrine are false and stay away from it. Many of them are only concerned about money and not about the salvation. They see there members and numbers and correlated them with money and there houses.  It is a lot things in this world today. There are some preachers who actually are concerned about leading people to Christ and imparting the wisdom of God, and teaching on righteous living, while others have different motives.  Everything said this blog is in love.  Pray and ask God to direct your path before you just go around visiting random churches. Stay in touch with your old pastor if they have imparted wisdom in your life, contact them occasionally and let them know that your care. Often people move on and forget about the pastor and church family that prayed for you and loved you, and was generous to you. Sometimes they opened up their doors to you, allowed you to call their homes anytime day or night, they fed you and clothed you, but  sometimes people move on as if the a that old church family never existed. Although you may be in a different location, time, place and season, never forget a bridge.

Singing Falsetto

Falsetto is a very common thing for soft mezzo tones. Many singer do not always sing from the diaphragm, yet often produce a pleasant sound.  Falsetto is the preservation of false notes. These notes are usually not able to be capped in a singers' normal or natural vocal range. Utilizing falsetto often builds your natural range depending how you exercise it. Other times it can be detrimental to your normal range if used incorrectly.  There are several ways to sings such as utilize the throat/head register, chest, diaphragm. The diaphragm is the most technically common best to utilize most often, and to pull from falsettos occasionally.

Setting up your music group by vocal part (Soprano, Alto, Tenor)

In a duo, usually one singer will sing in the high key while the other sings in the low. For larger groups such as trios, quartets, choirs etc., you will need at least three parts for harmony.  In order to produce harmony, you will need soprano, alto and tenor. Soprano is the highest vocal range. Alto is the medium vocal range. Tenor is the deeper range. The traditional way of organizing a choir/group is to have the soprano on the left, tenor in the middle, and alto on the right. If the choir director is left handed, then you will usually have the soprano and alto switch positions. Within the soprano, alto and tenor, there are high soprano which the voice range is higher than of the low or second soprano. The high or first soprano is usually able to hit higher notes and contain finer voice texture than second soprano. There is also high or first alto, and low or second alto. There is lower range after that called "contralto which is the very lowest alto between alto and tenor. Next is the tenor which also identifies high tenor and low tenor. The high tenor, countertenor  are often able to sing high as the alto,  some synonymous with soprano using falsetto, but technically still considered tenor.  Men are usually tenors, and often many instructors do not identified them with sopranos or altos technically. Although some men are able to sing in high keys and have enormous range, once they reached past the puberty and the vocal chords have expanded, they are identified with tenor or lower. On the flipside, young boys can be identified with soprano and alto. Extra vocal parts of a choir are the baritone, and bass. Although some choirs do not have the baritone, it the actually the most common voice part for male.  The baritone is the step lower than the tenor. Bass is a step lower than baritone. The bass synonymously identifies uniquely in tone to the that of the bass guitar.

The soprano is the first melody, alto is the harmony, and tenor is the second melody. Usually in a choir the hardest to detect is the alto part because it is exactly the harmony that is the middle. Sometimes when you are able to sing or recall a song, you will sing it in the soprano or tenor melody. Some choir/group songs will be sung in unison of the melody. Often times for this procedure  the low will be sung by all the males utilizing the same note,  and the females utilizing one note.

 Often time in gospel choir songs you will have a low harmony at the beginning, then a sudden transition to high by the end of the song. This usually adds motion or hype to the song, to keep it from being needless to say static or some describe as boring.  Usually in this inverting procedure, the soprano will move up a higher note, then the alto will move up to the last note held by the soprano, and the tenor will move up to the last note held by the alto. It is the inverting of the note with the sudden transition from low to high. When this takes place in the songs of depends on a variety of things with the composition the song.  The inverting may be done after the  bridge,  after a selected number of times repeating the main chorus, or sometimes at the vamp of the song.

How to warm up vocals before singing

When you wake up in the morning your vocals are deeper. It is usually due to the long period of resting which has the vocals to become more relaxed. Some people have snoring conditions. Snoring is an actual strain to your vocal chords. Often people with allergies easily notice sore throats due to snoring and the sinus draining the nasal passage, and the air passed on the vocals.  If you experience these conditions extensively, you should use extra time to rest your vocals before singing. In the morning your vocals are prone for dryness. Before utilizing your vocals in song, drink water. It and clears and moistens the vocal chords.

The important thing to remember is to make sure you start out in soft mezzo tones before you belting out or occupying your full range. Too much projection before exercise can weaken your vocals. Exercise your vocal chords and build your tones. Do your crescendo to smoothly increase volume.  You want to utilize the musical notation scale from low to high. The simple do-re-mi-fa-so-la-ti-do works fine. Maintain the exercise in a low key, yet occupying your normal register. Do not start out in a deeper octave than your natural range, or you will not be able to adequately progress through keys. It is imparitive to do this in perspective order, or you may experience excessive of cracking and also straining etc. Simple 5-15 minute warms up are fine for beginners based on experience.  You may go longer based your experience, condition of the voice, and according to the instruction your music teacher.

Eddie Long Sex Trap

Eddie Long is senior pastor of New Birth Missionary Baptist Church in Lithuania, GA. It is a very large church. There are around 25,000 members of the congregation. The church owns about a block of the street possibly more. The Sunday following the allegations of Eddie Long's sexual scandals with  fourth young boys, Eddie Long's congregation paraded in church to celebrate him. Some were doing the jungle buggy across the alter and offering up praise and worship clearly to their pastor. There many were fans. Fans will defend their idol to the core. They wanted to make a clear declaration that they were honor him regardless of the circumstances. The church was overflowed that Sunday more than normally.  Among the attendees were gospel singer and Elder William Murphy, and many others. In fact there are many celebrities at New Birth Missionary such as gospel singer Dottie Peoples, preacher Bernice King, and of the popular "Sex Trap" Evangelist Wanda Davis-Turner. By the way, I do not know if Wanda Davis Turner saw this situation coming to her pastor. But it looks like his alleged sexual scandal was trapped. Eddie Long said "I am not a perfected man, but this one I am going to fight." He slammed the microphone on the podium, and walked off the stage rather arrogantly. He never addressed the allegations of sexual coercions with the young men of his church, and seems as though the members are not demanding are not demanding an answer. Everybody seems to be going with the usual flow of services. Eddie Long chose to be celebrity pastor of large congregation and leader of the vast growing boy’s club. His life is not private, so he owes the public and attendees of his church an adequate and honest response to the allegations.

Gospel Singer Ted Wynn who is the leader singer on New Birth Missionary Choir’s cd was interviewed on the Coko show in GA. He was asked the question regarding what is the Christian viewpoint of homosexuality which primarily he negated and avoided the question, then after going around the questions for several minutes, he stated that Christians can be homosexual. That was the incorrect answer because the biblical standpoint is clearly opposed to his answer. When individuals are presented a question, yet avoid it, and do not answer the question from the beginning, many times they become questionable as to why they are not answering the question. The answer is because they have something to hide themselves. That is because they are usually indulging in it, and feel uncomfortable speaking on the subject.

Eddie Long was asked the question and people are waiting for the direct answer to the allegations. There is nothing self incriminating about denying something you did not do. It comes of major concern how could Eddie Long think that these young men would not eventually tell someone that they had been sexually abused by him. They were teenagers, not babies. Although the individuals had no fathers in their lives, they were at the age wherein they had a sense of knowing that something was not right about the relationship. I am sure that the perception that they had of a father was not gay and fondling with his son. The boys should have made rational decision because it is just like being raped, as a child. They had taken sex education classes in school, family life, by the age of 16. The boys should have really be aware to tell an adult, if they received no answer tell someone else. On the other hand, although the age for consent is 16 in Georgia, they were not adults and incapable of making fully rational decision. Eddie Long bribed these boys with money, gifts, and travels. Eddie Long was potentially and very unequivocally using scripture to justify his deviant, homosexual, lustful actions to perform on these boys. Lust never gets enough, and moves on to others to prey on. He allegedly stopped giving these guys gifts, and moved his lust on to other young men once he was finished. The gifts were not for life, he stopped paying their tuition, providing housing, money etc. These boys were drawn by money, and thus felt a need to tell. That is still not rational. The word of God says

present your body a living sacrifice holy and acceptable to unto the Lord.

For Eddie Long if allegations are valid, his homosexual lusts were greater than his brain. Eddie Long needs to sit down because he needs ministering to. If these congregations and the church boards keep putting sick people up to serve in leadership positions, leaders such as this are not going to be no delivered from bondage because they feel like it is alright. It gets the individuals to thinking that deviance is a norm. That is a very dangerous thing.

Eddie Long's son Edward Long says he is not a Christian according you tube video, yet he performs in at different churches and concerts doing so called “holy hip-hop”. There are celebrities and others who gravitate to large ministries like this. Many them have minimal standards. Many of the events are like worldly clubs to meet people rather than worshipping God. It’s about going where everybody else is. Many of these people who never step foot in a small church. Most of the celebrities who attend churches only attend well known churches. That is just food for thought.  Even from New Birth former members and praise leaders, gospel singers Byron Cage and Pastor Gary Oliver who accredits Eddie Long his spiritual father. 

According to news this week, an individual from the New Birth church presumed Elder spoke saying that the Long's program has helped many youth. He went on to say that the travels were included as a part of the mentoring program. According them it takes trips across the country and the world for a a child to experience the presence of a fatherly example in their lives. How ridiculous this story situation is makes it bad for individuals who have a real desire to help kids with no greed, lustful, deviant motive in their heart. After viewing this it is really hard to trust anyone with your kids. Sure the Long program may have help some individuals which are perhaps the individuals who were not sexually abuse by other men while participating.

Eddie Long is in the hot spotlight more than ever before. If these allegations are true, Eddie Long has really been a hypocrite embracing the notion “Do as I say not as I do”. He preached against the homosexuality and held rallies against it. It is a complete contradiction. Many of his dvds, cds, or tapes at the time probably could not sell for $1.00, and many would not be accepted if offered for free. That is sad even in the worst of the economic shortage. Eddie Long preached on the popular sermon he entitled "Delilah". Which is the bible story of Sampson and Delilah. That particular story is about Sampson lusting after the Philistine women. Delilah represents lust. Although there is no homosexuality in that story, there was lust. Eddie Long preached about along with homosexuals and lust. Both of which are situations that he is possibly dealing with. If you would actually listen to message he curses in his message rather often. He embraces mostly anything in his church including hip hop which is a religion/culture. There is a lot of secularism at Eddie Long’s church. The current situation just adds to the things that he has taken from Baal’s alter. Eddie Long just literally ‘Crosses it Up”. His son named Edward Long is the youth pastor, and gospel rapper, yet I heard him say that he is not a Christian. Then why is he youth pastor, how does he lead people to someone to Christ that he does not know, and why is he performing in churches and functions across the country. That is hypocritical. That is crossed up, just as the song him and his father perform “Cross it Up”. Eddie Long crosses both arms in the air as an x cross for the skull/cross bone symbol as a movement dance gesture to this song “Cross it Up.” He also invites congregation in for participation. In his own words, "Cross it Up", yes it is crossed up along with the homosexual allegations and not to mention his toupee. By the way could he not afford to have one like Steve Harvey or Greg Mathis. Eddie Long hair is all crossed up, and backwards.

His church is very large and people see the broadcast on television weekly. They possibly have an influence on the world’s view of Christianity. That is truly sad because that is a misconception. Many times there are strong examples of Christianity even in small churches that may have moral standards and obedience of the word of God, yet often everyone is thrown into one category.  This is not an example of  Christians, and thus they should not be linked to the way Eddie Long is being portrayed. There are true Christians that fear God and are walking according the holy bible, have to stand up. Eddie Long allegations were brought in the public, and it has become a public situation. On top of the fact that these are outrageous charges that need to be addressed, Eddie Long accepted to be a leader to the masses. He needs to be honest and answer to the allegations to the masses. It is a public issue. He chose to be a public, famed preacher. Should his life be private? The word says that there is nothing hid that shall not be revealed. How more is that even true for a celebrity. Eddie Long’s related his current situation to the biblical story of David. Eddie Long said he has about five rocks, and he has not thrown one yet. That story honestly did not work for him. That week one of the rocks were thrown at him with evidence of explicit pictures and texts messages sent to the guys cellphone. David was a man that was chosen by God. Today quite frequently people choose people that they want in position, rather God. They choose people that are often not ready for deliverance not subjected to come in alignment with the word of God.  Eddie Long was engaging in this activity for quite sometime, throughout pastoring years, and could have even been before, but would God designate a person to do something that is an abomination, and contrary to his word? They that preach the gospel must live the gospel. It is a point of crucifying your flesh no matter what the devil sends your way. IT is a fighting spirits that sometimes manifest themselves in the flesh. It is imperative to be an example of walking in the way of the Lord and defeating the enemy.  The Eddie Long situation is a very astonishing situation. The pastor is not perfect of course, but one who is suppose to have maturity in God and in the word of the scriptures enough to follow and properly discern.  According to allegations in recorded statement said he used scripture justify his actions.

 There is a billboard sign at this time that says “Lead like him.” This is not the time for this poster. He is currently displayed as a poor example. Eddie very likely guilty. When you are innocent, you would say so. This is not a petite situation, but it is very major. Long's lawyer said people should be mad at him not Eddie Long because he told him not to say anything. That was not a very rational statement from the lawyer. Individuals are upset with Eddie Long not the lawyer, he did not commit these sexual coercions. If Eddie Long did not commit these acts, he would have denied them openly, but he did not. He would have requested a lie detector test because he has nothing to hide, but Eddie Long did not. The attorney states that the motive was money of these allegation because they burglarized the building. That is not valid because all of the individual did not burglarize the office. Many of the individuals that brought the civil charges against Eddie Long did not know about the others, yet all four stories were similar in allegations of sexual coercion by Eddie Long. There has been about 30 other charges brought against Eddie Long in which I am told that they are not sexual related, but I think there is a cover up.  Some those 30 lawsuits will eventually be dropped. Eddie Long is going to at least pay these young men to be silent and drop the charges, or because he is in a secret organization, they will get him out of the charges.

Understanding the basics of MIDI

MIDI (Music Instrumental Digital Interface) is a common topic in electronic recording.  It encompasses how we communicate electronically through music. It is the communicable transference of musical and electronic components. Midi involves a chain of communication.  For example, if I have two keyboards, but I want the sound to project out of only one keyboard, I would make this happen through MIDI. First, I would have to send signal from one instrument to the other.  I would have to use an output/input connector cable to connect the output of keyboard one to send transmitted signal response through the input channel of keyboard two. The result  is that the sound of keyboard one is now projected  inside of keyboard two. MIDI makes this action possible.

Computers and a series of other instruments can also be incorporated the MIDI process. There is no limit to the number of components connected in the process. MIDI is often used in music studio recording. Many times you hear various sounds in song, which are not  music instruments or least not instruments that would present in a studio, but MIDI allowed it to be possible.  MIDI is a very large topic. Computers can respond to keyboards though MIDI. Each letter and symbol has a musical note value, so the computer and keyboard are allowed to communicate through MIDI. MIDI even includes converter boxes, video camera, vcr, dvd etc. MIDI communication is used in most daily electronic activity.

Many people go into college with hopes, dreams, and aspiration of someday landing a great paying career. I went to college with a passion for criminal law. It is so critical for individuals to think in terms of what they have a passion for. You must first develop an great foundational base or experience that motivates you to pursue a selected field. It is very important to do job fairs, and to market yourself. There is a popular slogans "It's not what you know, it's who you know". That slogan is true because marketing yourself is so critical to obtaining a career. For years students were told internships is a guarantee to a job, and that works for some individuals, but many times that alone is not always sufficient. Moreover in the 21st century, it is takes more than just merely completing an internship. Competitions is more rigorous.  People often fail because they do not have a contingency plan. A contingency plan is back up plan. When selecting a minor concentration in college, make sure you are just as passionate about your minor concentration as your major concentration.  Statistic report that a vast majority of the students who graduate from college  will venture in career in the minor, rather than their major.

Social networks are growing.  Many jobs are hiring at times, but they are checking facebook, myspace, twitter and many other social networks. They want to be able to see your appearance, conversation, attitude, tone, and everything. They using these practices to match prospective candidates with job description, and if you do not match or exceed them, your not likely to receive the job. Some people may say that some of them may be a violation of the 14th amendment, but it is true.

 There was a recent article on Yahoo that included "Things not to do on facebook". Well, the most important on the list is to watch your speech. Speaking negatively about your job or boss will often hinder you from getting a job.  Also, acknowledging bad behavior listing things such as late for work, hate the job are considered inappropriate, as well as using profanity. On facebook and social networks, you want to inform people of positive developments about yourself. For example, the following list of things are considered positive,  attending a special honorary achievement awards, listing insightful things regarding your book reading, projects or other relative topics. Volunteering while attending college is good way to land a job after college because that is best time to volunteer. Many times it is too late for individuals to volunteer after college because you look forward to earning a living. Many times after college many bills are inquired with time constraints, so it best to take advantage of volunteering opportunities while in college. Also, college workstudies programs are great. Many of the directors of the departments and work studies programs will hire students upon their graduation for full time jobs. Actively becoming involved within the community is great thing for students. Build yourself as young achiever and striver known for doing honorable and noble things within the community such as helping the elderly, community awareness. Build yourself as advocate against crime and issues. Also, running for class office and sponsoring program that reaches not only within the confines of the school, but the community as well. Extensive study and research is a key element.

Students who study hard and dig deep in their field for performing research do best on their jobs than others. These individuals know how to apply themselves. Seize every opportunity granted to gain hands experience because it  has a much longer lasting a effect than merely studying with no hands on training. Some are able to write things down one time, and the information is stored into the long term memory bank. Others have to rewrite and for to grasp the understanding of the information. Moreover, the visualization accompanied in experience lasts longer than studying. Studying with application ensures the most promising results. How to start playing piano for children

There are basically two different ways began playing music which is by ear or by notes. Many people want their children to learn an instrument such as the piano. Often the way to start is by ear. At the early age, kids are not usually able to read, so developing their ear for music is the best way. Train them by having them  focus on listening to a selected piece of  music. Also, if you have a piano in the home that is great way to let them learn by fiddling around of the piano.  This is great because children are more susceptible to learning at a earlier age, so later they will be able to piece things together.  As they develop then you may start teaching them notes, but primarily playing the sound is a key factor in playing by ear which is developing the sense of hearing and distinguishing sound. That is how even babies learn  an instrument. Develop the child's ear for music. For example if you wanted your child to learn another language at an early age, you would speak it to them. This factor relates to what we hear. Our music is the same way. Music is an international language. This concept means that if you speak Chinese, you would still know and hear the same musical sound as in English because its by ear. On the other hand, with looking at musical notes in English and Chinese, the writings and notations are different, so there would be present a barrier in learning or communicating in that regard. That is another reason why playing by ear is the best way to start in music.
The next question to proceed in developing your child's piano skills in training by ear is whether it is common for them to learn the bass line versus simply sounding out words of the song. Either way you choose to develop their piano skills, both styles of learning are based on what they have heard through their ears. It is essential to learn by ear first because of order.  After the kid's ability to play by ear has been developed, and the child is able to read or at least grasp the concept, then you may consider having them learn to read music.
The way you chose to learn essentially may vary by location and time. For the most part, in  previous generations most people were more likely to play by ear than by notes. In more recent times, it is has become more common to learn by notes. The reasons may vary due to location, time, ability, or simply preference. In recent years, things have become so much more precise and individuals look  forward pursuing music careers, so the demand is greater for individuals who play by notes. My grandmother use to play the piano by ear, and she had never been taught music notes. She was always interested in piano and had a passion for it, although she did not express the interest learning notes, she did not have time as child. She had to work on farms, so other things came into relevance such as location. Today most individuals have a choice, so their influences are great determining facts to whether they will try playing by notes or by ear. Many have the funds to pay for training, so they go to school. Many music jobs prefer individuals with a background in music which includes a college degree in music and several years experience. Many require both because the competition has become so great in recent years. In pursuing a major in Music, individuals are to take host of requirements including foreign languages German, or French, so no other languages will suffice. The individuals usually expected to completed a certain amount of lab work. This includes electronic recording classes, as well as the Music Appreciation, Theory courses etc. The individuals pursuing college education in music will be expected to attend various musical performances to complete graduation requirements. The performance are usually not in a selected category because it really gets into diversity, so all graduates of the department are expected to graduate with a wide knowledge in clear areas of expertise within music. It is very important for pianists to branch off and learn to be around other musicians. It is an affective learning tools. For instances, even going into the local music store and practicing on  the piano in the rehearsal room. That is very helpful in building your musical skill. I have done it so many times. In the beginning of my music career, I literally had a jazz music teacher who came out her office into the rehearsal room to look at me. She wanted to play along with me and actually compliment my music with extra chords and scats adding to my existing bass line. She thought my bass line was great, also I was learning her chords as well.  In learning it is very greatly important to submerge yourself in the music for learning purposes.
Beginner musicians may notice in that there could be a sound that you have been hearing in your head, but you may be uncertain of how to formulate the music on the piano. Even for those scenarios, surrounding yourself with good musicians is a great idea.  My father who is bass player knows how to play the piano because he found similarities in the instruments. He did not always know how play the piano that actually came later, after I began playing. Likewise, I am able to pick up the bass guitar, and play it because of the similarities. You will be able to do the same thing. For me the bass in itself is amazing because the bass line is an important component for carrying practically any song.  This is great because I help my students develop things that just do not come over night. Knowing how to piece instruments together usually comes after years of playing. It is really the same idea in styles, certain genres because there is usually similarities in the other style of music that relates to your style of music. You will be able to notice the difference.

 It is important to be able to play a basic piano. The keyboard has a lot of technological advances that may handicap or impede many beginners from progressing. The transpose component is a button usually located on keyboards that allows individuals to maneuver through keys as you wish, acquiring the sound of all keys without actually playing in the perspective keys that sound produces. For example, Jose knows how to play in one key which is the key of "C", but not the other keys. Jose wants to move up to E, but he does not know how to manually, so he push the transpose button and the sound is replicated. Jose does not have to learn other keys because the technology of the keyboard has done the work. The transpose button restricts the musician from learning to play in other keys, so it limits a musician in many cases. Many keyboards are soft sometimes and striking each note can require less effort. On the other hand, the pressure from playing piano develops strength in the fingers. It requires more effort in pressing piano because the keys are more weighted. The keyboard is a percussion instrument.  There are some weighted keyboards such as the kurzweils etc. In previous times pianos did not have electronic components, but in recent times technologically advanced pianos  have been developed, and they include components with the transpose.

 If you are learning to play the keyboard you will need to stretch and exercise your fingers because many times you will be extending your fingers to unusual position for extended amounts of time, so exercise is very important. If you type on the computer keyboard, your finger may be slightly warmed up, but playing the piano requires the hands to be stretched to position far beyond the computer keyboard limits. It is important to always use proper position of  your hands to avoid if possible carpal tunnel and crepitus etc. These are usually common conditions in activities that require repetitive finger movements.

It is important to learn on the piano rather keyboard to specifically learn how to use foot pedals. On many keyboards the foot pedal is an extra accessory and sometimes not included with the purchase of a keyboard. The sustain pedal help you to hold notes for an extended period by tapping the foot pedal, and it also allows you to blend notes. The sustain pedal also allows balances, and can eliminate certain unwanted pauses and spaces in the music. The pedals also helps with developing the tempo and rhythmic pattern. The beats per minute can be measured with hand claps. The sustain pedal is especially useful in solo playing with no other instruments in accompaniment. There is usually a soft pedal that allows you to create soft sounds. There maybe times when you are asked to play during a prayer,  you would want to utilize the soft pedal for this event. The pedal also diminish the sound from the loud, so it is soft mezzo. It great to go into a decrescendo to avoid breaks in the music.
Playing for groups, choir, soloist, devotional service, talent shows, auditions, are different musical settings. If you are playing for a choir, the individuals who singing usually have to follow you, so you are able to lead them. Many times the pianist start by playing the introduction, then the group or choir began singing. In that case, play in the key rehearsed, and everything should be fine. If the choir members are tone deaf, or short of hearing keys, you may have to find the key in which they are singing because they did not musically grasp or comprehend the key of your introduction. If you are not able to play in the key in which they are singing, if you are on the keyboard press the transpose button to locate the key in which they are singing. On the flip side, if you do not play by ear you may not even be able to find the key, nor hear the key in which they are singing. In that case keep playing in the key in which you started, and usually they will fall back into the correct key or at least drift in out which is beyond "pitchy".  Let them sing acapella, if you cannot accommodate.  If you are playing for a devotional service, you have to follow the singers.  In this case it is very similar to open mic, you have no idea what the individual is going to sing, neither  will you be aware of the key in which they will sing. This is most effective way for someone who at least have a developed ear for music, and who has submerge themselves in the music. In this case the individuals could very well drift in and out keys which is literally maneuvering, you would need to be very good at tracing keys, stay neutral, or allow the individual to sing acapella because whatever happens could be deemed a direct influence on you.
 It is very essential to learn by using both methods of playing, firstly by developing a ear for music through playing by ear, then progressing to playing by notes. One method of playing  is a contingency plan for the other, so the both of them are necessary.
If you were to play for a popular group which required sheet music with preciseness in producing an exact sound, or if you were to meet requirements for a church that requires a music degree, you would need the formal musical education training by notes.  If you are to play for open mic, church devotional service, or unrehearsed auditions you could do well with playing by ear. In playing by ear, you are more adept in being able to play for events that are unrehearsed. In this type of setting playing by ear, the songs have not been sung or played previously, but they are confident that know how to play it with out sheet music.   Music is  an international language, so once you have selected a method, it is easy not hard, so start right away.
